We had to meet at the Neue Nationalgalerie for German class. It is a small museum with recent paintings. We had an exercise to pick and painting and describe it in German. It was a fun exercise, and it was great not to be in the classroom, but all I really wanted to do was study. I, at least, needed to get through the study guide.
The morning flew by and before I knew it, it was time for my European Legal Traditions midterm. The midterm was just as difficult as I expected. It included an essay question and several short answer questions. I finished pretty quickly; mostly because I didn’t have as much knowledge to put on paper as everyone else did I think. Oh well, it was over with! Only German midterms left now!
I was so excited for X Factor. It has become the perfect way to wrap up the first half of the week. Everyone, Malia, Trevor, & Anna, took a break from studying to come over. It’s so funny. We listen to the performances of American pop songs and come up with our own versions of what the judges must be saying. It also is a favorite night because my host family always goes shopping for snacks and some kind of wine or Prosecco. Thimo actually gets so into the show that he calls in for the acts he likes. I love Tuesday nights – spending an evening with friends and family, reminds me of home.
